Powerlifting Off-Season Template

Powerlifting Off-Season Template

The off season powerlifting template is a 10 week, 4 day a week training template that is focused on building your strength base. If you are fat adapted, you would use this template to build your strength, and then move to a meet prep template to peak your strength. If not fat adapted, I would recommend doing this template twice before moving to a meet prep template.

This is an off-season template I wrote myself about 3 years ago when I was preparing for a raw meet with the APF. This was the first meet I did with just a belt and no wraps (knee sleeves were not even allowed for raw). I ended up with a 606 Squats, 397 bench and 667 deadlift at 220 lbs. Not my best meet, but a solid effort, and one that I built on in later meets. This was also the first meet I had done after getting help on my deadlift form from Brian Carroll. Extremely conservative attempt selection meant I only hit a 17 lb PR on my deadlift, but I would blow that out of the water 5 months later with my first 700 lb deadlift.
